CALL FOR PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOP PROPOSALS
To be presented at the
2013 Summer Professional Development Conference
Beaver Hollow Conference Center, Java Center, NY
June 23rd-26th 2013
NYAAE is accepting proposals for workshops to be presented at the 2013 conference relating to topics appropriate for middle, secondary and post-secondary educators of agricultural education.
Purpose: To present, in workshop format, information appropriate for agricultural educators. Workshops should engage participants in "hands-on" activities and be related directly to enhancing classroom/laboratory instruction, student work-based learning and/or leadership development, teacher professional development, program marketing/communications and partnership/collaborations.
Suggested Topics: Workshops may be presented on, but are not limited to, the following areas: Classroom instruction techniques, integration of academics, exceptional instructional materials, and specific content areas, etc.
Parameters: Workshops will be presented during professional development sessions during the 2013 summer conference. Workshops are to be approximately one hour and thirty minutes in length and have the possibility to be repeated. Expect an audience of 10-35 people.

Each proposal will be reviewed by the NYAAE Professional Development Planning Committee. Authors of accepted proposals will be notified by January 2013, specific information on facilities and available budgets for supplies will be given at that time.
